ESG Gaming wins Best Product award at the world’s largest EdTech Show.

What a way to start 2024 with a surprise win for ESG Gaming at Bett, the world’s largest EdTech Show. Winning Best Product, Lee Willows, the Founder of ESG Gaming, said, ‘This award means so much and is only possible due to the purposeful collaboration we have assembled. Therefore, a win for ESG Gaming is a win for our consumers and everybody who is supporting our journey’.

At Bett 2024, ESG Gaming showcased their v1 digital healthcare product, THE DOME by ESG Gaming. Powered by VIVERSE, the multi-award-winning immersive platform, THE DOME By ESG Gaming is a virtual world where consumers will experience an immersive and nostalgic dome which will host three specific rooms (i) a Health & fitness room which will host fitness classes and have interactive educational material on diet, physical and mental health, and fitness; (ii) a Mindfulness Space where meditation, mindfulness and relaxation classes will take place and an opportunity to visit some amazing countries virtually and finally (iii) an Auditorium which will host a variety of special interest events including stand-up comedy, motivational speakers and interactive lifestyle gatherings.

With a focus on those aged 50 years and over, THE DOME By ESG Gaming seeks to understand how virtual reality and esports can:

  1. reduce loneliness and social isolation;
  2. provide an alternative, drug-free prescription for depression;
  3. reduce the risk factors for dementia.

Reflecting on the award, John Dabill, Director of VIVERSE at HTC said ’This is an impressive first step for ESG Gaming as the product's first outing at the Bett Show. VIVERSE technology is powerful and flexible, so we're already implementing additions to the space based on feedback, and we look forward to supporting ESG Gaming by getting this product out into the community.

James Fraser-Murison, Founder, Fraser Esports said, ‘It's been a pleasure to develop the educational content for the product. Seeing people in the virtual reality space and hearing their reactions last week was awesome. There is so much appetite for what we have created, and I look forward to continuing my learning journey as we extend and build upon what we have’.

Nath Edmonds, Founder, Sweet Cabin, said, ‘What an impactful way to start 2024 by winning our first award. I love all things tech and gaming, so with our shared vision to combat loneliness and social isolation using these platforms, I know we can make a huge difference’.

Lee Willows continues, ‘This award is recognition of the wider team working hard to understand how virtual reality and esports can positively affect humanity as we age.Turning 50 years in 2023, having suffered with my own mental health and addiction and seeing the effects of dementiaon family members, we were determined to learn more and contribute to this space. We still have much to learn, but I am immensely grateful to my friends, colleagues and mentors who helped bring the vision alive. Special thanks goes to a number of people including: Kevin McGowen, with whom I first discussed this idea and was the inspiration to do something in this space; Sam Child, Alex Slowman, Rosie Grey, Mirren Fischer and Harry Clark, the wonderful team at MDRx and Mishcon de Reya LLP; James Fraser-Murison from Fraser Esports; Sam Cooke, Jack Fenton and Laura Bryne and the outstanding team at Esports Insider; John Dabill, Nathan Gaydhani, Sevag Chamelian and Harry Virdi from HTC VIVE who have been such huge supporters; Mia Sutherland from Bett; and finally Chris Jones, Chris Bryan, Nath Edmonds, Emma Rose, Glen Prebble, Tony Boulton and Abdiqani Ahmed for your unwavering help, support and counsel. Recognising the team who have donated their time and expertise is important’.
