What a superb week in Sunderland again this week, as our journey on the accelerator programme continues.
The focus
this week was on VC / Angel Pitch Decks, and although ESG Gaming isn’t seeking
this type of investment, it was still a helpful week. Along with the other
amazing entrepreneurs, we all worked on getting our Pitches down to two minutes
and then practiced these pitches, getting group peer feedback, external expert
and fund managers feedback and even Business Students feedback from various
North East Universities. As somebody who really enjoys continuous learning and
this type of work, for me, it was excellent week.
In addition
ESG Gaming have been able to agree a stream of work with British Esports to
accelerate our respective social purposes. Our collaborative ideas have the
potential to reach every community across the United Kingdom in a genuine,
impact driven collaboration with the wider esports ecosystem and national
brands.
Finally we
discussed mental health a lot this week and some of us shared our respective
journeys. We also met with University
Students establishing organisations or doing projects specifically looking at
mental health and consumer protection within gaming. This was powerful and an area of work that is
so central to the mission of ESG Gaming.
Next steps
for the accelerator programme is the National Showcase and Pitches in London in
a couple of weeks. ESG Gaming will be launching something rather special at
this event and I cannot wait to share it with you.
