ESG Gaming are once again humbled to be invited by the lovely team from Esports Insider, to be their Not for Profit partner at the upcoming ESI Next Gen event. The Cheng Kar Shun Digital Hub at Jesus College Oxford is a dynamic new space in the heart of the city, designed to bring together the brightest minds and the curious to discover, explore, use and benefit from the latest advances in digital technologies. This is a perfect venue for those working in, studying or simply interested in integrating video games and esports in education, both curricular and extra-curricular.
ESG Gaming will again be an exhibitor over the two-day event with Fraser Esports and Sweet Cabin, showcasing our immersive virtual reality platform, THE DOME by ESG Gaming. We will also be facilitating a roundtable where we are presenting our collective research with Esports Insider: A Case for Community Action: esports, Older Players, Mental Health, and Social Isolation, which was supported by the International Esports Federation. At ESG Gaming, we have a strong focus on understanding how esports, gaming, virtual reality and technology might reduce loneliness and social isolation, reduce the risk factors for dementia, and provide an alternative, drug-free prescription for depression among those aged 50 years and over. If you are interested in learning more we'd love to chat with you. Similarly, if you feel you might be able to contribute, we'd love to invite you to our roundtable. We are specifically seeking corporate partners or esports teams who might consider contributing with pro-bono support (i.e. design, tech, marketing, delivery) or help with our fundraising activity directly or via employee or volunteer-driven initiatives.
I continue to learn so much from colleagues and friends at Esports Insider events and again look forward to building upon my knowledge as I continue to serve my apprentecship in this space.
