ESG Gaming
continues to learn and place down essential foundations as a start-up
not-for-profit organisation. We are moving to the stage of employing colleagues
and want to ensure we provide an inclusive, supportive, transparent and
exemplary working environment. We have partnered with many organisations over
the past six months to achieve this. In addition, we are going through various
accreditations, so we can learn and be sure the foundations we are laying have
insight from some of the best employers in the United Kingdom.
Some of
these partners include the 4 Day Week Campaign’s accreditation scheme, which ESG
Gaming has signed up to. This guarantees our employees will work no more than a
four-day week and receive full pay and conditions. We are also members of the
Living Wage Foundation, ensuring employees at ESG Gaming receive a Living Wage (i.e.
a higher rate than the national minimum wage). However, we wanted to go above
this requirement and have committed to paying full-time employees an additional
10% of their sector median salary, or 10% above the Living Wage for our
employees at this rate. Another partner whom we are working with is Ecologi.
This enables our employees a range of options to offset their carbon emissions from
travelling on ESG Gaming business. Finally, we have our final B Corp and Investors
In People assessments this month. We are really enjoy working with the
assessment teams to bring insight to ESG Gaming.
As part of
our foundations, we also wanted to understand and learn how ESG Gaming could be
a purposeful employer to protected characteristic groups of employees too. So
we are working with different partners to bring insight and awareness, and one
of those partners is Pride 365.
Pride 365 are
building a global network of organisations that are all publicly pledging to
improve the lives of the LGBT+ community and then actually doing it. ESG Gaming as a Pride 365 Certified employer means
we have met their standards of inclusion and authenticity. All Pride 365
Certified organisations are part of a global movement to make inclusion organic
and sustainable at every level. Like all Pride 365 Certified organisations, we
are determined to end pinkwashing - an inauthentic approach to marketing to the
LGBT+ communities.
